Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is expected to make several changes to his starting lineup for Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.
Nigeria will face the Djurtus at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau as both teams look to maintain their winning starts in Group L.
Reports indicate that captain Wilfred Ndidi, winger Samuel Chukwueze and striker George Ilenikhena could begin the match on the bench.
Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka and Taiwo Awoniyi are expected to replace the trio in the starting XI.
The changes come after Nigeria’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over Madagascar in their opening qualifier last Friday.
Despite the expected alterations in midfield and attack, Chelle is likely to keep faith with the same defensive unit that started against Madagascar.
The back four impressed after recovering from an early setback to help the Super Eagles secure all three points in Uyo.
Atletico Madrid winger Ademola Lookman is also expected to retain his place in the team.
Akor Adams could lead the attack as Nigeria seek another important win on the road.
The Super Eagles head into the encounter level on three points with Guinea-Bissau.
A victory for either side would see them take control of Group L after two rounds of matches.
Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. Nigerian time in Bissau.
