Opobo/Nkoro LGA Chairman, James James, thanked God and the people of the LGA for their support and collaboration in his first year in office.
James referred to his first year in office as being a successful one, adding that the success recorded so far is an indication of the cooperation extended to him.
He said his administration would capitalise on its successes by concluding projects, undertaking more developmental activities, and improving services in the LGA. He called on the residents to continue with their support.
James took over as Chairman on September 1, 2025, and within the last year, he has focused on areas of security, infrastructure, health, social welfare, youth empowerment, and rural development.
In addition to making security improvements, the council has provided vehicles for the security operatives, as well as setting up and renovating security bases within the communities of Opobo and Nkoro.
The people are impressed with the gains the administration has made and are hopeful that it will be able to undertake more projects that can improve their lives and develop the community.
