Nigeria’s representative at the 73rd Miss World festival in Vietnam, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, has emerged as Miss World Top Model Africa, securing the country a place among the competition’s Top 40 quarterfinalists.
Karibi-George emerged ahead of a strong continental field featuring representatives from Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, Kenya, South Africa and Zimbabwe to claim the African title.
Her victory guarantees Nigeria one of the 10 places allocated to Africa in the next stage of the competition and marks a significant achievement for the country at the global pageant.

The Miss World Nigeria 2026 titleholder has also recorded impressive performances in other fast-track events. She placed in the Top 20 of the Head-to-Head Challenge and the Top 23 of the Talent Audition, further strengthening her position as one of the standout contestants at this year’s festival.
Her latest victory has generated excitement among Nigerian pageant enthusiasts, who have closely followed her campaign in Vietnam. With her runway presence, talent and advocacy work, Karibi-George has increasingly established herself as a strong contender for the overall crown.
