Outspoken Nigerian singer-songwriter Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, has launched a blistering verbal attack on Afrobeats icons 2Face Idibia, Burna Boy, and Davido.
Speaking during an appearance on the Lahor Talk podcast, the artist accused all three music superstars of knowing about a 2019 incident where he was allegedly lured to a venue under pretenses and pressured into joining a secret cult.
Brymo’s comments mark a dramatic escalation in his long-standing feud with Burna Boy, providing new details regarding the personal grievances driving his public outbursts.
Explaining the root cause of his hostility toward the trio, Brymo recounted a specific event that took place seven years ago in the Chevron area of Lekki, Lagos State.
According to Brymo, he accepted an invitation in 2019 to be hosted by industry associates, only for the gathering to transform into an aggressive cult recruitment session. He claimed that the individuals pressuring him explicitly dropped the names of 2Face, Burna Boy, and Davido to legitimize the organization.

“I’m Not Asking for an Apology—Be Men and Deny It.” When the podcast host asked if Brymo could ever forgive Burna Boy—referencing Burna Boy’s previous diss track where he sang “Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo”—the singer cut the interviewer off, rejecting any talk of reconciliation.
Speaking in Pidgin English, Brymo demanded that all three artistes publicly clarify their role in the 2019 event.
“Which forgiveness? I don’t have forgiveness for Burna Boy, 2Face, or Davido,” Brymo asserted. “I want them to tell me that they truly don’t know about wetin happened to me for Chevron.”
He challenged them to break their years-long silence: “When I got attacked… only to be told that I need to join a cult. And they mentioned their names. Why are they still quiet about it after all these years if you’re not involved?”
