Prominent Nigerian social media activist, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has formally announced his withdrawal from the ongoing dispute involving the members of the defunct music group P-Square and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
The activist’s decision follows intense public criticism from internet users regarding his previous commentary on the high-profile family feud. Initially, the activist faced backlash after appearing to defend Jude Okoye, drawing accusations that he was attempting to dismiss the validity of financial mismanagement allegations raised by musician Peter Okoye against his twin brother, Paul, and their former manager.
Following mounting pressure, the activist released a formal broadcast over the weekend announcing his decision to step back from the controversy. In his updated assessment of the conflict, he maintained that he had reviewed statements from the involved parties and concluded that responsibility for the breakdown in relations should be shared among multiple individuals.

He specifically attributed a portion of the fault to Jude Okoye, criticizing the former manager’s reported refusal to resign from his position after Peter Okoye requested his removal over administrative and financial concerns. In his analysis, the activist assigned forty percent of the blame to Jude Okoye, with the remaining sixty percent divided equally between Peter Okoye and other extended family members, including Peter’s spouse.
Reiterating that his comment was intended to offer an objective perspective, he confirmed that he would no longer address the Okoye family crisis. Moving forward, the activist stated that he is redirecting his attention to an upcoming appearance before a police panel to address separate allegations he previously made against Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Jimoh Moshood.
