The Delta State Signage and Advertisement Agency (DESAA) has formally unveiled its official logo in a colourful ceremony in Asaba, marking a major step in the regulation of outdoor advertising across the state.
Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by Secretary to the State Government Dr. Kingsley Emu, performed the unveiling on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in a gathering of top government officials, traditional rulers, business leaders and other stakeholders.
The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, and Chairman of DESAA, who played a prominent role at the event, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to effective implementation of its mandate.
“DESAA enjoys the full support of all 25 Local Government Councils in Delta State. We are fully committed to ensuring that the agency’s mandate is effectively implemented at the grassroots level for the benefit of our people,” Egbo declared.
He commended Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership in establishing the agency, noting that DESAA would promote environmental orderliness, boost internally generated revenue and enhance the aesthetic appeal of towns and cities.
“This is a forward-looking initiative that will transform the signage and advertisement landscape of Delta State. Beyond boosting government revenue, it will create a more organised, attractive, and investor-friendly environment across our communities,” he added.
Olorogun Egbo assured stakeholders of seamless collaboration with government institutions, local councils, advertisers and operators in line with global best practices. The event drew dignitaries from across Delta State.
