Decades after Peter Obi education reforms in Anambra State, the state is still winning medals and placing Nigeria on the spot in world competitions.
But to you the supporters of “Mandate”, the noise is “Obi did not build schools, Obi did not build roads, Obi did nothing in Anambra”.
I will like to digress a little, in 1983, Chief Obafemi Awolowo came to campaign in my hometown. He was asked why he chose free education policy instead of the Low Cost Housing Projects of the counterpart NPN government.
He responded, “the children that we left uneducated today will tomorrow, be the ones to sell the houses we are building today”.
We all know what came out of the policies of the two parties and the resultant impacts decades after.
Great leaders build people. They build institutions and systems that live long after they might have gone.
This is not to say those roads and infrastructure are not important, but can we honestly say they are the most priorities that we must sacrifice human capital development policies for?
Remember the sage saying “Those children we left uneducated today, are the next Boko Haram, bandits and Agbero recruits tomorrow”.
I present to you again, the man with the clear vision of how to take Nigeria out of woods at this critical time,
Mr. Peter Obi
With him, A New Nigeria is POssible
Nigeria shall be OK.
