Decades after Peter Obi’s education reforms in Anambra State, the state is still winning medals and putting Nigeria in the spotlight at world competitions.
But to you, the imbecilic supporters of “Mandate”, the noise remains: “Obi did not build schools. Obi did not build roads. Obi did nothing in Anambra.”
Let me digress a little. In 1983, Chief Obafemi Awolowo came to campaign in my hometown. He was asked why he chose a free education policy instead of the Low-Cost Housing Projects of the rival NPN government.
He responded, “The children that we leave uneducated today will tomorrow be the ones to sell the houses we are building today.”

We all know what came out of the policies of the two parties and the resultant impact decades later. Great leaders build people. They build institutions and systems that live long after they are gone.
This is not to say that roads and infrastructure are not important, but can we honestly say they are the top priority for which we must sacrifice human capital development policies?
Remember the sage’s saying: “Those children we leave uneducated today are the next Boko Haram, bandits, and agbero recruits tomorrow.”
I present to you again, the man with the clear vision of how to take Nigeria out of the woods at this critical time: Mr. Peter Obi.
