Governors of the South-South Governors’ Forum have congratulated Governor of Delta State Sheriff Oborevwori in celebration of his 63rd birthday.
In a press statement issued on June 19, 2026, the Chairman of the forum and Governor of Bayelsa State Douye Diri has congratulated the governor alongside residents of Delta State, political friends and other well-wishers for celebrating his new birthday.
The forum referred to the governor as an ardent leader who had rendered useful services to the state of Delta and the region as a whole through the years of his service.
The governors observed that Oborevwori had risen through the ranks from the position of Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly to that of Governor because of his experience and commitment to democratic leadership.
The governors have stated that the governor has continued to exhibit purposeful leadership that contributes greatly to promoting peace, stability, and development in the state.
It was noted that the implementation of his MORE Agenda has been contributing to the betterment of infrastructure, social welfare, security, economy and unity of the people of Delta State.
In celebrating his birthday, the governors wished him happiness and prayed for good health, wisdom, and strength for Oborevwori as he continues to serve the people and take the state to new heights.
Earlier, Oborevwori was the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and a Member of the Okpe Constituency of Delta State in the Peoples Democratic Party from 2017 to 2023.
The governor belongs to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is the ruling party.
