Appoint Wike As PCC Director General – APC Leader To Tinubu

A request has been made by Princewill Dike, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, to have Minister Nyesom Wike appointed as Director-General of President Bola Tinubu‘s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

Dike, who is a lawyer from Port Harcourt, made the call on Monday while speaking to news representatives in PortHarcourt.

He stated that Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, is capable of campaigning and leading Tinubu to the 2027 general elections.

He pointed out that the FCT minister had shown political entrepreneurship in replacing his opponents, even though he was still a governor, and stated that Tinubu’s re-election is within their grasp as Director-General of the PCC.

Wike’s position as Tinubu’s campaign Director-General made it a difficult situation for other presidential candidates, according to Dike.

He stated that with Wike as the Presidential Campaign Council DG for PBAT’s re-election, opponents would face difficulties.

Wike’s qualifications as the ideal leader of the APC PCC were emphasised by him, who noted his substantial political network across the entire federation.

Additionally, he stated that Wike is capable of raising campaign funds without disturbing Mr President.

According to Dike, Wike will prioritise spending over swindling campaign funds and will spend the entire day working in every state possible to achieve his goals.

He further said Wike has the knowledge that the right politicians are capable of delivering as well as a great appeal to the youth and many Nigerians.

He added that the minister recently delivered the FCT Area Council for the APC, even though the former governor is a PDP member.

According to Dike, Wike is an accomplished player who utilises the Midas touch to turn any movement into gold.

Moreover, he stated that in 2014, Odein Ajumogobia, an esteemed lawyer from Nigeria, withdrew from the Rivers State governorship race in 2015 under the Peoples Democratic Party because “Wike’s familiarity with politics and the law” was evident.

His narrative of Wike’s campaign activities in Rivers State spans from winning the state’s governorship in 2015 to covering both the 2018 and 2019 elections, as well as the 2023 general elections.
