NCDMB Commends Collective Power Facility, Bold Human Capacity Development Drive

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has applauded Collective Power Limited for its cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities and its aggressive investment in building world-class Nigerian talent, describing both as vital accelerators for the country’s industrial growth.

The commendation was made on Thursday during an extensive facility tour of Collective Power’s ultramodern plant in Port Harcourt by the NCDMB’s Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) team.

Leading the delegation, PNC Team Leader, Mrs Wemimo Oyelana, expressed visible excitement at the level of technological sophistication and rapid progress achieved by the company in just a few years of operation.
“I want to say a big thank you and kudos to Collective Power for what they have achieved in such a short time. Today’s factory visit has been eye-opening. Thank you for hosting us, and we look forward to even greater milestones from Collective Power,” Oyelana remarked at the end of the tour.

Speaking afterwards to her, she singled out the company’s human capacity development programme as a strategic national asset. “We are extremely impressed with everything we have seen, but what stands out most is the deliberate focus on training. In barely two years, with a few select international partners, Collective Power has built a robust training ecosystem that is producing highly skilled Nigerian graduates and technicians.

“With our huge youth population, any company that prioritises local capacity building at this level is making an invaluable contribution to Nigeria’s economic future,” she stressed. The PNC team inspected Collective Power’s training academy, switchgear design and testing laboratories, prefabricated substation assembly lines, and electrical installation and commissioning bays, while examining the company’s array of advanced equipment and training infrastructure.

Conducting the tour, Managing Director of Collective Power, Mr Oghenetega Ekpamaku, highlighted the company’s comprehensive service portfolio, which includes:
Prefabricated buildings and E-houses
System integration and site services
Protection relays, control panels, HMI, SCADA, and power management systems (PMS)
Instrumentation and controls
Switchgear digitalisation and remote terminal units (RTU)
Low- and medium-voltage panel assembly
Electrical system studies
Engineering, procurement, and supply
HVAC, fire alarm systems, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions.

Mr. Ekpamaku also revealed strategic global partnerships with industry leaders such as Treysan, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), Schneider Electric, Gutor, Eaton, and BICC Cables.

The visit reinforces NCDMB’s confidence in Collective Power as a flagship Nigerian company driving local content, technology transfer, and sustainable industrial capacity in the oil, gas, power, and manufacturing sectors.
