He stressed the importance of attracting top-tier academics from within and outside Nigeria, including through engagements with scholars in the Diaspora. According to him, ADUN aims to produce graduates who are globally competitive, impactful, and equipped for real-world challenges.

The VC expressed gratitude to the Delta State Government, traditional rulers, and individuals supporting the university, noting that increased assistance would be crucial as the student population grows. At the convocation, 72 students graduated, including 10 who earned First Class honours, while others finished with Second Class Upper, Second Class Lower, and Third Class degrees.

Prof. Ogbogbo urged the graduands to uphold excellence and apply the knowledge and discipline gained from the university. He likened their academic journey to the refining of gold, emphasizing perseverance, competence, and responsibility.

Highlighting institutional milestones, he announced that ADUN has commenced postgraduate programmes, expanding its academic scope.

However, he acknowledged ongoing infrastructural challenges due to rising enrolment, praising TETFund for its intervention.

The convocation lecture, delivered by Rainoil GMD Dr. Gabriel Ogbechie, focused on innovative strategies for managing institutions in difficult economic climates. The event also honoured outstanding students and conferred honorary degrees on eminent Nigerians.
