The Football Association (FA) has confirmed that the Community Shield match between Premier League champions Liverpool Football Club and FA Cup winners Crystal Palace will take place on Sunday, 10 August, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm BST.
In a statement published on its website on Friday, the FA announced that the match will be held at Wembley Stadium and will be broadcast live and exclusively on TNT Sports 1. The statement also noted that further details regarding the fixture will be released in due course. Manchester City are the current holders of the trophy, having defeated Manchester United 7–6 on penalties following a 1–1 draw in the 2023–24 edition.

Reacting to the announcement, Liverpool stated on their official website that full ticketing information will be made available on Liverpoolfc.com in due course. Liverpool have featured in 24 Community Shield matches, winning 16 times, five of which were shared, the most recent being in 2022.
Meanwhile, the match will mark Palace’s first-ever appearance in the FA Community Shield, now in its 103rd year, following their historic FA Cup victory at Wembley in April 2025. The trip will also be Palace’s 14th visit to the national stadium. They won both of their fixtures beneath the Wembley arch last season, against Aston Villa and Manchester City, without conceding a goal.
