The emergence of His Royal Highness, King Iginighiom Ishmael-Sunday, as the Uwema of the Okpeden Clan in the Abua/Odual local government area of Rivers State, has continued to elicit reactions from various groups and individuals in the area.
A member of Egbolom Chiefs council, Chief Wisdom Oghu and Chairman of the Community Development committee, Mr. Rufus Goodluck, said the King would attract more infrastructural development, investment opportunities and promote peaceful relationship among the indigenes.
Similarly, the leader of Egbolom Youth, Mr. Godspower Frank and a member of Egbolom Women for Peace, Mrs. Precious Jackson, described King Iginighiom Ishmael-Sunday as a pragmatic leader, noting that his reign would bring about the desired peace and development, which the clan has been yearning for.

On his part, Chief Eghuan Barakiri, said the emergence of the King was done in accordance with the native law, custom and tradition of Abua as applicable to Okpeden Clan, after due consultations with the Oguma Royal Family.
While dismissing any opposition to the emergence of King Iginighiom Ishmael-Sunday, Chief Barakiri said all relevant persons concerned, ensured that all traditional rights were observed and performed diligently. They called for all hands to be on deck in supporting the new monarch to move the Okpeden clan forward.
