The Administrator of Opobo Nkoro Local Government Council, Senibo Frederick Apiafi, has been commended for his proactive response in coming to the aid of schools in the area, which translated into making it possible for students in the area to write the English Language paper of the West African School Certificate (WASC) examination on that fateful day that the examination was written very late in the night.
The principal of Community Secondary School, Opobo Town ( Senior secondary), Mrs. Lovelyn Tams Oko-Jaja, who made the commendation on behalf of other school principals in the area, also thanked Senibo Apiafi for the provision of palliatives to all the students who wrote the English Language paper that night, saying that the palliative helped to reduce the effects of the trauma and stress the students experienced that day.

Mrs. Tams Oko-Jaja made the commendation when Senibo Apiafi and his entourage visited the school in Opobo Town. It would be recalled that when the administrator heard that students were going to write the English Language WASC examination in the night, knowing the security risk and the inconveniences that students, teachers, and examination officers would suffer, Senibo Apiafi immediately directed that security agencies mobilize their personnel to provide security at all the schools where the examination was being conducted, even as he ordered that gunboats escort examination officers, with the papers, to those communities in the area that can only be accessed by boats.
