The Rivers State Government, represented by the Sole Administrator, His Excellency Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Rtd), has urged residents of Ahoada East Local Government Area (LGA) to work with the LGA Administrator, Mr. Goodluck Iheanacho, to protect vital government assets.
This call was made during a Town Hall Security and Stakeholders meeting held at the Ahoada East LGA Council Headquarters.
Represented by the Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju, the Sole Administrator emphasized the strategic importance of Ahoada East as a hub for crude oil and natural gas resources.

CP Adepoju stressed that the security of these assets is crucial for the benefit of the nation, state, and local communities.
The LGA Administrator, Mr. Goodluck Iheanacho, highlighted security as a major concern, citing theft, vigilante activities, and other criminal threats.
Traditional rulers, including Eze Felix Enemy Ouwarikpo III of Upata Kingdom, expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation and called for more police posts and solutions to flooding.
The Rivers State Government said it would remain committed to fostering peace, security, and sustainable development across all LGAs.
