Former Manchester United Icon and Drug Abuser Officially A Free Agent After Serving 18 Months Ban

Pogba’s ban officially ended on March 10,2025, and he is currently without a club as the 28 year old’s contract with Juventus was terminated in November 2024 when he tested positive for Dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEA), It is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands, and it serves as a precursor to male and female sex hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. DHEA levels naturally decline with age and are sometimes supplemented for potential benefits related to aging, energy, and hormone balance.

The 91-times capped World Cup winner was suspended by Italy’s anti-doping organisation, NADO Italia, after testing positive for DHEA, a banned substance that raises levels of testosterone, in a match between Juventus and Udinese.

He was initially handed a four-year ban in February 29, 2024, but the ban was later reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sports(CAS).

Pogba is currently exploring options to continue his professional career, focusing exclusively on top European leagues.

He is currently linked with Marseille and Manchester United.
