Ayra Starr Joins Star-Studded Cast for Children of Blood and Bone Film Adaptation
Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr is set to make her Hollywood debut in the film adaptation of Children of Blood and Bone, joining a cast that includes esteemed actors such as Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, and Idris Elba. The movie, based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling novel, is being produced by Lucasfilm, the studio behind Star Wars.
The adaptation, which will bring Adeyemi’s African fantasy world to the big screen, is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, in theaters and IMAX. The story follows a young woman on a mission to reclaim her people’s stolen magic, offering a unique blend of adventure and African mythology.
