He stated this when he received some members of Rivers State Universal Education Board UBE, led by the member in charge of Monitoring and Evaluation, Chief Nathan Anucha.

Oleghe informed the Board members that the Scheme was attentive and responsive to the needs of the State government, especially in the education sector.

He encouraged the Board members to hold LG chairmen accountable to build Corps lodges in various communities which will in turn facilitate posting of Corps Members to them.

Oleghe seized the opportunity to harp extensively on top-notch provision of “welfare packages and security for Corps Members serving in communities.”

In his part, Anucha, who represented the Chairman of the Board, Chief Lulu-Briggs used the opportunity to appeal to the State Coordinator to give priority attention to posting of Corps Members to government schools, especially the junior secondary schools in order to bridge the manpower gap in that area.

Speaking further, he assured the Coordinator that the Board was fully focused to ensure that the basic welfare needs and security of Corps Members are adequately catered for.
