Adejumoke Aderounmu dies at 40

 

In the bustling world of Nollywood, one name stood out: Adejumoke Aderounmu, famously known as “Esther” from Funke Akindele’s Jenifa’s Diary. On April 6, 2024, she bid farewell, leaving behind memories cherished by fans and colleagues alike.

Born on March 26, 1984, in Abeokuta, Adejumoke’s passion for acting blossomed early. After completing her education, she dove headfirst into the industry, making her mark in both English and Yoruba cinema.

Her breakout role as Esther in Jenifa’s Diary catapulted her to fame in 2016. Fans loved her portrayal of the resilient character, showcasing her versatility as an actress.

Beyond Jenifa’s Diary, Adejumoke showcased her talent in various movies, including Dazzling Mirage and Alakada 2. She wasn’t just an actress; she also excelled as an on-air personality and producer.
