Wike set to commission first secondary school in Amaechi’s village

Ahead of his 100 days celebration in office, the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, is set to commission a brand new secondary built by his administration in the village of the current minister of transportation and his predecessor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.

This is as the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike says that the governor has performed well.

Nwanosike added that it was only Gov Wike who has rolled out numerous projects to be commissioned.

Listing the projects lined up to be commissioned which include Community Secondary School, Ubima; Reconstructed Bonny, Adaka Boro and Elliot Henry Streets; Port Harcourt Township; Shell Location Road, Rumuepirikom; Fruit Garden Market, D-Line, Port Harcourt; Reconstructed and Re-equipped Government Craft Centre, Aba Road, Port Harcourt; Rumuokwurusi-Elelenwo-Akpajo Dual Carriage Way; Dualised Birabi Street, GRA, Phase 1, Port Harcourt; Civil Servants’ Quarters, Amadi Flats, Old GRA, Port Harcourt; NLC (Labour) House, amongst others, the LGA chair said Wike deserves commendation.

He noted that the construction of a brand new secondary school in Ubima Community in the LGA has shown that Gov Wike is a man who doesn’t segregate and committed to developing the state, saying that Ubima is the hometown of Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who was the Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly for 8 years, Governor of Rivers State for 8 years and the current Minister of Transportation.

He avowed the resolve of Ubima people and the entire LGA to always support Gov Wike, adding that he did what an Ubima son could not do for his community.

The optimistic Chairman of Ikwerre LGA stated that the governor would commission numerous projects in the during his one year in office celebration.
