Sacked RSU V.C, Didia, returns to classroom at UNIPORT

Professor Blessing Didia, the sacked vice-chancellor of the Rivers State University, R.S.U., has resumed academic duties at the University of Port Harcourt.

Didia, a professor of clinical anatomy was appointed as the V.C. of the State University on August 3, 2015, following the expiration of the tenure of the then Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. B. B. Fakae on Friday, July 31, 2015.

The V.C was sacked by the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike on August 3, 2019, exactly four years after following an employment scam into the University’s workforce.

The Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Rivers State Council, announced his resumption of duties at UNIPORT.

Didia who is the president of the Brigade in Rivers State was welcomed back to his old position by the state’s Secretary Organizer, Mr Ebim Chukwudi, who led a delegation of Patrons, Boys and Officers of the Council to grace the occasion.

Also present at the reception were the B.O.T. member BBN, Hon. T.M Osika, Dr Mrs Eunice Okodudu, Chairman R.S.C. Captains Forum, Mr Joseph Ubong, Administrative Assistant to the S.S.O., Mr Adi-Wobeh Evans (Capt) and a host of others.
