Dokubo commends Army for maintaining peace in Niger Delta

The Coordinator Presidential Amnesty Programme Professor Charles Dokubu has commended the Nigerian Army for maintaining security and securing critical national infrastructure in the Niger Delta.

Dokubo explained that the effort of the military has boosted the nation’s revenue generation capacity.

He stated this during a visit to the Nigerian Army Chief Lt Gen TY Buratai on a courtesy call at the Army Headquarters, Abuja on Wednesday.

He used the opportunity to appreciate the leadership and all personnel of the Army and other security agencies for providing an enabling environment for peace, security, stability and development of the Delta region.

He also solicited for more cooperation, partnership and collaboration with the Army to ensure lasting peace in the area.

The Chief of Army Staff was represented at the occasion by the Chief of Policy and Plans Army Lt Gen LO Adeosun. Gen Adeosun, on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, assured him that Nigerian Army prides itself in doing everything possible to secure all parts of Nigeria and it will continue to collaborate and support to ensure the success of the programme.

Chief of Training and Operations Army Maj Gen EO Udoh, Chief of Military Intelligence Maj Gen SA Adebayo and the Acting Director Public Relations Colonel Sagir Musa among other senior Army officers graced the occasion.
