Model plans to marry her dog after giving up on men following 220 failed dates

A former model who is fed-up with men says she “done with men” and plans to marry her pet dog after going on 220 failed dates.

Elizabeth Hoad said she hopes to persuade her local Catholic church to allow her to wed her six-year-old golden retriever, named Logan.

Hoad, who is 49, is a former Page 3 model and had well-documented flings in the 1980s with legendary golfer Seve Ballesteros and famed racing driver James Hunt.

She said she plans to tie the knot in front of 20 other guests, she added that she will wear the wedding ring while Logan will wear a top hat, waistcoat and bow tie.

Her friend’s two huskies, Ajax and Bear, will be the ‘best men’ at the wedding.

She says she will then whisk her canine spouse off on a honeymoon to a dog-friendly hotel.

Elizabeth, of Ascot, Berkshire, has been engaged twice but never married, Mirror reports.

She said: “I’ve had 220 dates in eight years from six dating sites and it’s generally been a disaster.

“I thought it would be a good idea to ‘marry’ Logan instead – he never leaves my side and we love one another.

“Some might think I’m bonkers but it feels right.
