Obuah issues 24-hour ultimatum to service providers over heaps of refuse in Port Harcourt

The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, Bro Felix Obuah has threatened to terminate the contract to services providers 24-hour should they fail to rid their operational zones of dirt.

Obuah, who issued the 24-hour ultimatum after inspection of Roads in Port Harcourt and its environs said the deadline given to the contractors was necessitated by heaps of refuse currently dotting the affected zones.

He said the Agency can no longer condone laxity of Service Providers who would not take their jobs seriously.

The Sole Administrator regretted what he described as unwelcome actions of non-performing Service Providers which he said have amounted to sabotage of the efforts of Governor Nyesom Wike who is doing everything possible to ensure a cleaner Rivers State.
Obuah in a statement by his media aide also warned all Service Providers doing business with the Agency to be alive to their responsibilities, adding that RIWAMA would not relent in its resolve to sustain the Garden City status of the State.
