My Kingship Is Divine –Iriebe Monarch

…Bags Peace Award

The Paramount Ruler of Iriebe Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH Eze Jeremiah Worenwu, has described his kingship as a divine mandate.

He made the statement shortly after receiving a peace award from the League of South-South Media Professionals on Wednesday, 11th July, 2018 in his palace at Iriebe.

Eze Jeremiah Worenwu said despite the challenges he faced in the course of events leading to his coronation, he was able to scale through and bring the situation under control due to the grace of God upon his life and the maturity with which he handled the issue.

He said that due processes were followed to pave way for his emergence, adding that Iriebe was an autonomous community guided by rules and regulations.

“Leadership is not by age. To ensure peace, you need to impact on the lives of your people, especially the youths. If you want to be a leader, you should start from your early days,” he said.

Eze Worenwu thanked the League of South South Media Professionals for the award and promised to keep ruling his people with the fear of God.

Earlier, Leader of the group, Ken Ubani, said the peace award was in recognition of Eze Jeremiah Worenwu’s peaceful disposition in the discharge of his leadership responsibilities in his community.

He particularly commended Eze Worenwu for resolving with maturity a problem that would have caused bloodbath in Iriebe.

He thus urged the Iriebe monarch to keep the light burning and avoid all forms of distraction, promising that the group would keep supporting him media-wise.
