Rivers LGA Polls: PDP flags off campaign at Omuma

Ahead of the June 16th local government election in Rivers State, the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has flagged off its campaign in Ọmụma Local Government Area.

Leading the campaign, the Rivers State chairman of the PDP, Bro. Felix Obuah officially handed over party’s flags to councillors representing the ten wards in the LGA.

The event which took place at the state school Eberi/ Omuma also attracted PDP stalwarts from the LGA, chiefs, elders, women and youths.

Bro. Felix Obuah, who conducted the official handing over of flags to the various councillors, called on the entire people of Omuma to support and vote for PDP in the 2019 general elections.

Obuah, assured the people of Omuma that Gov. Wike will do more for the LGA as his projects all over the LGA is just a tip of the iceberg compared to what he will do if voted back to brick house come 2019.

In his remarks , Hon. Kelechi Nwogu, member representing Omuma at the Rivers State House of Assembly, advised people from the LGA who are still members of the All Progressive Congress to defect to PDP, saying that the APC has no chance of winning in the 2019 general election.

He also expressed gratitude to the people for the massive turn out and the support that they accorded the party, adding that members of the PDP in the LGA are all out to return Governor Wike back to brick house come 2019.
