APC CONGRESS: Amaechi Denies Hijack of Materials.

Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has described recent rumours making the rounds, alleging that the on-going All Progressives Congress, APC, Congresses in Rivers State have been compromised, as mischievous and laughable.

He made the assertion in Port Harcourt on Saturday while reacting to insinuations that materials meant for the congresses had been hijacked with the view of compromising the outcome in favour of a particular group of party loyalists.

Amaechi expressed surprise that someone could cook up such falsehood in order to cast doubts in the hearts of citizens and also heat up the political scene.

Reiterating his stance for free and credible Congresses across the state, he opined that he is not in possession of any material relating to the planned Congresses because he is not a party official, neither has he hijacked such documents.

He further stated that what was sent to the state party Secretariat were forms meant for interested candidates participating to purchase and documents for the conduct of congresses weren’t sent ahead of time.
He wondered why individuals would cook up falsehood and urged citizens to disregard such rumours.

Amaechi encouraged party faithfuls to turn up and vote for their preferred candidates during the Ward Congress holding today, across the various Local Government Areas, which he said would be done in the most transparent manner, because APC is a party that believes in democratic tenets.
