Cattle colonies, a ploy to Islamize the country – Pastor Ilechukwu.

The General Overseer of the Charismatic Renewal Ministries, Reverend Cosmas Ilechukwu has said that the cattle colonies being proposed by the federal government is a ploy to islamize the country and extend the Fulani kingdom.

The clergyman who spoke during a church service in honour of the newly appointed permanent secretary, Rivers state Ministry of Information, Paulinus Isirim, said that Nigerians should rally round and reject such a ploy by the government as it is only but a prelude to anarchy.

In an interview with our reporter, he maintained that Nigeria presently lacks leadership at the national level, saying that what is currently obtainable is an aberration of leadership.

He said: “We don’t have leadership at the national level. What we have at the national level is a kangaroo kind of leadership.

” Leadership is an instrument for upliftment. It is an instrument for societal transformation. Any oppressive leadership is actually not leadership.

” What we have are power-drunk individuals who took over leadership just to impose harsh conditions on us.

“It is not only that it is being done in a very barbaric way. It is also being done in a very selective way that depicts prejudice against certain people, not because they are bad people but because of where they come from and the way they worship their God.

“So, as far as I am concerned, we don’t have any leadership at the national level”

Reverend Ilechukwu said that the cattle colonies are fulani colonies as they are the ones who will manage these colonies and expressed anger at the federal government’s use of wrong terminologies to confuse the masses.

“I am always angry when people use wrong terminologies to describe things. Cattle cannot have colonies. It is fulani colonies.

” Federal Government is deceptive. It is using the term cattle colonies so that people will think that they are giving a parcel of their land just for cattle.

“If you go to the colonies, will it be only the cattle their? Who will be managing the colonies? It is the Fulani.

” Colony is a ploy for the islamization and extension of the Fulani kingdom and Nigerians should stand up and say a big No to that.

“I don’t support it. I cannot support it. I don’t see any true Nigerian supporting that kind of thing”

Reacting to questions about the letter written by the former president Obasanjo to President Buhari, the Reverend said that he is not a fan of Obasanjo because he had the opportunity to lay a solid foundation for the country and missed it.
However, he said that the letter made him his friend .

“I am not a fan of Obasanjo because he had the opportunity to lay a solid foundation for this country but missed it.

” However, the letter made me his friend. I became a fan after reading that letter.

“I went through it and studied it thoroughly and it is in good direction and I hope that the person it is addressed to will carry his bags and leave Aso Rock so that we can get the right type of people inside the place.

He expressed optimism for 2019, saying that it is an opportunity for Nigerians to do the right thing and vote in the right people.

“2019, Nigerians are going to use our voting power to vote in the right people. We will not tolerate what APC and their gang up is doing in the country today.

” I said it in 2014 that people should not vote in this party because it won’t help Nigeria and he wants to come back for second tenure?.

“This is the beginning of suffering. If he comes back, Nigerians will suffer the more.

” There is no stewardship. Stewardship entails acknowledging that certain things do not belong to you.

“Our leaders must acknowledge that Nigeria does not belong to them, that the commonwealth does not belong to them. It belongs to all of us but now, it is cornered by a clan.

” This is the highest manifestation of nepotism and the most nepotistic government in my short years of existence and therefore, it cannot be stewardship.

” Stewardship abhors clannishness, it abhors nepotism. Stewardship is managing the resources of the people for the good of the people.

” What we want is a government of national integration, a government to be presided by a true Nigerian patriot, someone who is a Nigerian, who loves Nigeria and wants to see Nigeria grow.

” It is not what we have today. What we have is an aberration of governance”
