Rotary Club Donates Jackets to FRSC Rivers Command

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Phoenix has donated 90 branded reflective jackets to the the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Rivers State Sector Command. The donation was made on July 4, 2025, as part of the club’s efforts to promote safe road practices and enhance the visibility of FRSC personnel during night rescue and traffic control activities.

The donation is part of a collaborative effort between the Rotary Club and the FRSC to promote road safety. President of the Rotary Club, Rtn Lilian Chidinma Okoroha, highlighted the importance of reflective jackets in ensuring the visibility of FRSC personnel during night operations.

The Sector Commander, CC Inyang E. Umoh, thanked the Rotary Club for the donation and assured that the jackets would be put to good use.

The Sector Commander called on other civil societies and NGOs to partner with the FRSC in promoting road safety and preventing road crash emphasizing that it is a shared responsibility for all.

The District Governor of the Rotary Club also expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate with the FRSC and looked forward to further partnerships, particularly in public education.

The donation of reflective jackets is expected to enhance the safety of FRSC personnel during night operations and promote road safety in the state. The partnership between the Rotary Club and the FRSC is a step towards reducing road crash and promoting a safer transportation system.
