Supporters of Fubara, Wike Urged to Sue For Peace

Supporters of the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Siminialayi Fubara and the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, have been advised to desist from making inflammatory statements, but embrace the reconciliation of the two political figures and work toward moving the state forward.

A Public Affairs analyst, Dr. Emmanuel Osilem, who offered the advice in Port Harcourt, called on their supporters to sink their differences and utilize the opportunity offered by the reconciliation to rebuild the state and restore its lost glory.

While noting that within the period of the political impasses, developmental activities in the state were stalled, Dr. Osilem commended Governor Fubara and chief Wike for reconciling their differences, he however said deliberate effort should be made to assess what the state has lost in terms of development, while modalities should be put in place to reposition the state.

Dr. Osilem, who is also a lecturer at the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic in Port Harcourt, said efforts should be made to ensure that the people are given the dividends of democracy which were stalled during the impasse.
