Etche is not for sale – Olu Nde Etche

A sociopolitical group of Etche ethnic nationality known as ‘Olu Nde Etche’ (voice of Etche) has lashed out at the way the ethnic group is being treated at the Rivers East senatorial district, despite its huge contributions to the growth and development of the senatorial district, Rivers State and Nigeria at large.

The group further maintained that the Etche people will no longer tolerate any form of subjugation and relegation from some persons in the senatorial district.

Speaking to our correspondent briefly after a meeting of the body, Mr. Noble Nwosu opined that Etche ethnic nationality, having been the only ethnic group yet to produce a Senator for the senatorial district, should be given the opportunity to do so.

He further called on all political parties to as a matter of equity and fair play, zone their senatorial seat to Etche ethnic nationality come 2019, saying that Etche can no longer be bought.
