Chidi Lloyd is of no electoral value – Emeka Woke

The Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke, has stated that the former majority leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, is of no electoral value in the state’s politics.

Engr. Woke declared this during the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Wards 3 and 4 Campaign at Emohua Local Government Area on Wednesday, saying that Lloyd is presently involved in politics of survival.

In his own words: “Chidi Lloyd has no electoral value in the local government area. All people from Emohua Local Government Area know that Chidi Lloyd is finished politically.

“Those of them in the All Progressives Congress, APC, the only way they can get money from their leaders, either from Freedom House or the other one, is to call a reporter and insult Governor Wike.

“Once you insult Governor Wike as one of the factional followers of APC, they will invite you to Abuja and give you money.”

He maintained that leaders and people of Emohua Local Government Area of the state know state that Chidi Lloyd has no electoral value.

“Let me remind Chidi Lloyd that as at 2015 general electiona, he was the leader of Rivers State House of Assembly and he contested that election against Hon Sam Oge, who has never been in government since the inception of this present dispensation.

“Having been in Assembly for 16 years, he was defeated by Mr. Sam Oge. He went to the tribunal to challenge the election. A rerun was ordered and he was defeated woefully,” he said.

The Chief of Staff debunked claims by Chidi Lloyd that Governor Wike is making overtures at him to join PDP.

He noted that Lloyd was merely playing to the gallery for his masters to give him stomach infrastructure for his daily sustenance, adding that Rivers people are waiting for the treacherous APC in 2019, to defeat them once again.

He noted that there is the Chief of Staff to the Rivers State governor’s prize for the ward that turns out the highest votes during the local government election on June 16, 2018.

In his remarks, PDP chairmanship Candidate for Emohua Local Government Area of the state, Chief Tom Aliezi said that he would initiate peace in all communities of the local government areas.

He added that his administration will thereafter use council resources to embark on youth empowerment and the provision of basic amenities.

Chief Aliezi added that he will promote participatory governance where every segment will be involved in the administration of the Local Government Area of the state.

PDP Chieftain, Chief Sergeant Awuse thanked the people of the area for their preference for the PDP and urged them to vote Chief Tom Aliezi and the PDP councillorship candidates.
