NDDC Calls For Partnership With Varsities To Boost Education In Niger Delta Region

Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has stressed the need for partnership between the commission and Universities in the region to achieve greater benefits for the schools.

Dr. Ogbuku, who made the during a courtesy call on him by the Governing Council of University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT, at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, promised that the commission would provide three hundred Kilo-Volt-amperes, KVA solar inverter at senate building of the institution.

The MD, who assured the delegation that the commission would also give a facelift to the school environment as contribution to their Golden Jubilee, informed them that NDDC was also marking her Silver Jubilee
this year.

In his presentation, Chairman Governing Council of UNIPORT, Senator Mao Ohabunwa, acknowledged that the commission has been of great help to the University, saying that the visit was to solicit assistance from the Interventionist Agency as the school celebrates her Golden Jubilee. On his part, Vice Chancellor Uniport, Professor George Will Onwunari, applauded NDDC for Projects previously carried out in the school
environment.

Professor Onwunari told  NDDC management that the school was proud that
He is an alumnus of UNIPORT, having obtained all his degrees up to
PhD from the Institution.
