Scheduled to begin today, the distribution is intended to provide teachers with the necessary tools and equip students with resources for effective learning. The UBE Board, speaking on the project, reiterated its dedication to ensuring that every child in Rivers State has access to quality education.

The materials to be distributed include: teachers’ notebooks, marker pens, smartboard pens and dusters, writing pens, subject textbooks, phonetics textbooks, storybooks to encourage a reading culture, records and diaries for junior secondary schools, and school attendance registers.

This effort is expected to significantly bolster the education sector while alleviating some of the financial pressures on families during these challenging economic times. By providing educators with adequate teaching aids and students with comprehensive learning materials, the government is laying the groundwork for academic excellence and future success.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s administration has placed education at the forefront of its agenda, and parents, teachers, and students have expressed enthusiasm and gratitude, anticipating the transformative effects this initiative will bring to classrooms across Rivers State.
