Dean Of Studies Faculty Of Law RSU, Gets Coronated

On Saturday, December 28, 2024, the Isiokpo Ancient Kingdom played host to a grand ceremony, as a distinguished son of the land, Prof. C. C. Wigwe, SAN, Dean of Faculty of Law Rivers state University, was honored with a prestigious Chieftaincy title. This recognition was a testament to Prof. Wigwe’s remarkable contributions as a father figure, mentor, and teacher, whose impact has been felt far and wide.

The coronation ceremony was a celebration of Prof. Wigwe’s outstanding achievements and dedication to the community. The Chieftaincy title conferred upon him is a symbol of respect, admiration, and gratitude from the people of Isiokpo Ancient Kingdom. This honor not only acknowledges Prof. Wigwe’s past accomplishments but also recognizes his ongoing commitment to the welfare and development of the kingdom.

Hearty Congratulations went  to Chief (Prof) C. C. Wigwe, SAN, on his well-deserved honor! In a grand ceremony held on December 28, 2024, the Paramount Ruler of Isiokpo Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Majesty King Blessing Wagor JP (Wagidi 40th), bestowed Chieftaincy titles on nine distinguished individuals, including Chief (Prof) C. C. Wigwe, SAN.

The ceremony was a grand display of tradition, culture, and pageantry, with the Paramount Ruler, HRM King Blessing Wagor JP, presiding over the proceedings. The newly coronated Chiefs, including Chief (Prof) C. C. Wigwe, SAN, were adorned with traditional regalia and honored with prestigious titles, symbolizing their new status as leaders and custodians of the kingdom’s traditions.

  • Eze, (Dr.) Chukwudi Madume
  • Eze, (Prof.) Chris Wigwe, SAN

  • Eze, (Prof.) Alex Amadiwochi, Chief (Engr.) Eze, Engr, (Dr.) Chukwudi Dimkpa, (Eze Omezunu Oha 1 of Ancient Kingdom)
  • Eze. Chief Anthony Womeodu

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the Ancient Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, as it is a rare and sacred event that occurs only once every seven years. This momentous occasion, known as Wagidi 40th, is a testament to the kingdom’s enduring traditions and customs. Notably, this is the third time that the kingdom has held this grand ceremony, which is a celebration of the conferment of chieftaincy titles on esteemed sons of Isiokpo.

The prestigious ceremony took place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the revered Adanta Isiokpo, the traditional meeting ground of the kingdom. This sacred venue, steeped in history and tradition, provided a fitting backdrop for the conferment of chieftaincy titles on distinguished individuals.
