On Saturday, December 28, 2024, the Isiokpo Ancient Kingdom played host to a grand ceremony, as a distinguished son of the land, Prof. C. C. Wigwe, SAN, Dean of Faculty of Law Rivers state University, was honored with a prestigious Chieftaincy title. This recognition was a testament to Prof. Wigwe’s remarkable contributions as a father figure, mentor, and teacher, whose impact has been felt far and wide.

In a grand ceremony held on December 28, 2024, the Paramount Ruler of Isiokpo Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Majesty King Blessing Wagor JP (Wagidi 40th), bestowed Chieftaincy titles on nine distinguished individuals, including Chief (Prof) C. C. Wigwe, SAN.
The ceremony was a grand display of tradition, culture, and pageantry, with the Paramount Ruler, HRM King Blessing Wagor JP, presiding over the proceedings. The newly coronated Chiefs, including Chief (Prof) C. C. Wigwe, SAN, were adorned with traditional regalia and honored with prestigious titles, symbolizing their new status as leaders and custodians of the kingdom’s traditions.
