AMORC President Calls for Love and Unity to Address Insecurity and Hardship in Nigeria

As Nigeria grapples with challenges like insecurity, hardship, and social unrest, the English Grand Lodge for West Africa, known as the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC), has advocated for love and mutual respect as solutions. The call came during the 2024 AMORC Convention themed “Universal Love,” held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

AMORC President Eugenius Idiodi emphasized that many issues in Nigeria, including division and unrest, stem from a lack of mutual understanding and care. Speaking to journalists, Idiodi underscored the need for Nigerians to unite in a spirit of love, noting that universal love can bridge social divides and foster national unity.

“In Nigeria, as in many parts of the world, society faces widespread challenges,” Idiodi said. “Many of these issues trace back to a fundamental lack of concern for one another. Our message of universal love is a direct response to this crisis. We advocate for a shift where people see each other as brothers and sisters working toward unity, peace, and progress.”

Idiodi explained that embracing universal love enables society to function as an interconnected web, where individuals’ well-being affects the larger community. “When we act with care and consideration, we uplift ourselves and promote peace, harmony, and global well-being,” he added.

He encouraged AMORC members to be mindful of their impact on those around them, noting that a compassionate approach to life can make a positive difference. “All people are called to adopt a humane and thoughtful approach, acting with awareness of how we influence one another and the world.”

The convention, which concluded on November 3, 2024, brought together over 1,300 delegates, marking a period of bonding and solidarity among members and the inauguration of new leadership.
