Women protest invasion of farmlands by herders in Eleme

Women in Ebubu Community, Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, have cried out over herders’ invasion of their farmlands.

The Women numbering over 100, made a protest march to the chief of the Ebubu community to register their displeasure over the destruction of their farmlands.

Many women said their farm is the only investment and the source of their livelihood.

They added that cows had invaded their farm and destroyed all their crops and farm produces, such as corn, cassava, vegetable, cocoyam, yam, etc.
