The Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC has called for the total participation of the public during the auctioning of forfeited vehicles by some law offenders. The three days auction exercise is at Police Officers wife Complex, Olumemi street, old G.R.A, Port Harcourt.

CE Osita Nwaja, Director Public Affairs Department and member of the assets disposal committee, made this call during the flag-off of the scheduled three days vehicle auction exercise.

“We gave this exercise extensive publicity because we want total participation. We want to be accountable, this is public money that some people cornered, but Justice caught up with them. The court has forfeited these assets to the federal government, and the federal government said let’s give them back to Nigeria people.”

CE Nwaja said the auction’s proceeds would be returned to the federal government. The official company saddled with the forfeited vehicle auctioning is Samurira Ventures Integrated Service Limited; the auction exercise will be monitored by EFCC Port Harcourt command.
