The Bayelsa State Government has announced that the Governor Duoye Diri-led administration would be unveiling no fewer than 20 roads, educational, health, media and agricultural projects to commemorate his second year in office.

The anniversary activities are expected to commence a week before February 14 as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is expected in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, for the ceremony.

While in Bayelsa, Osinbajo will flag off a bridge across River Nun at Angiama linking Oporoma linking Oporoma, headquarters of the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

In the company of his Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Moses Teibowei, Governor Diri had inspected some of the projects at various stages of completion over the weekend.

Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Teibowei said between 20 and 30 projects in various sectors would be ready for commissioning.

According to him, contractors have been mobilised and mandated to complete the projects within a specific time in readiness for the event.
