Emohua workers set to drag Chidi LIoyd to court over unpaid salaries

Workers of Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State are set to drag their LG boss, Chidi LIoyd to court over unpaid salaries.

The workers who spent their Christmas without salaries said some of them had not been paid for the past six months.

One of the affected workers who simply identified herself as Endurance accused Chidi LIoyd of running the finances of the council through his private firm.

“Only Chidi LIoyd is doing the work of the local government accountant, treasurer and at the same time serving as the chairman of the council.

“Chidi LIoyd is running the finances of the council through his private firm, “she said.

Some of the affected workers: Santos Owolo, Emeka Chinwo, in their separate comments described Chidi LIoyd as a sadist who derives pleasure in hurting people.

The affected workers told our correspondent that they had put their legal papers together for a litigation battle against Chidi LIoyd.

The workers who are not happy with the way and manner Chidi LIoyd demoted over 200 workers of the council to grade level four insisted that their council boss must meet them in court.

They said Chidi LIoyd is not above the law, adding that the only way to stop his tyrannic administration is to drag him to court.
