Breaking: Unknown gunmen attack police station in Rivers

Unknown gunmen have attacked a police station at Rumuji Community, in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that a police officer was beheaded during the attack while another was shot dead , and an operational vehicle burnt.

This comes after governor Nyesom Wike imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on the 23 local government areas.

They also attacked a C4i checkpoint along the East-West road before Choba Bridge, killing two officers on duty.

Meanwhile, another set of gunmen attacked the Elimgbu police station in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, where one ASP and two inspectors were killed.

Nnamdi Omoni, the public relations officer of the state command did not immediately respond to inquiries for comment.
