Ken Saro Wiwa Associate petitions CBN over Robo Michael loan request

The Ken Saro Wiwa Associates has petitioned the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, calling on it to reject the loan and funding request of Robo Michael and other oil companies in connection with the development and operatorship of OML 11 in Ogoni Land.

National coordinator of Ken Saro Wiwa Associates, Gani Topba, in the petition, alleged that Robo Michael is planning to use the borrowed fund from the CBN to cause crisis in Ogoni Land.

Gani Topba further alleged that Robo Michael is a syndicate of Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, which he accused of being responsible for poor corporate social responsibility and reckless environmental policies in Ogoni Land.

Topba said the Ogoni general Assembly 2018, had after reviewing the activities of oil and gas communities in Ogoni, agreed that Robo Michael, SPDC and NNPC should stir clear of Ogoni Land in the interest of peace.
