Man arrested for defiling 10-year-old in Port Harcourt blames wife

A thirty-year-old man known as Musa Abubakar Babangida has been arrested by the Rivers State Police command over defilement of his ten-year-old child.

The suspect who confessed to the crime while been interview at the State Criminal Investigation Department by newsmen claimed that sometimes, his wife refused to have sex with him while complaining of weakness which prompted him to start sleeping with the 10-year-old who is his stepdaughter.

The ten-year-old girl told newsmen that the stepfather started defiling her by inserting his finger in her private part.

She said that at the age of seven, the stepfather starting using his penis to insert in her private part.

The victim further explained that her mother noticed the discharge from her private part recently which roused her curiosity.

The ten-year-old girl disclosed that she was afraid of telling her mother because the first time she told her mother, the mother beat her up.

According to the victim, the mother assured her that she should say the truth which she did and was examined by neighbours before the matter was reported to the Police.
