Investigation begins into female pilot’s death

The Nigerian Air Force said on Friday it has launched an investigating into the accident that led to the death of Tolulope Arotile, a flight officer in a road accident inside one of its bases in Kaduna.

The Air Force also said that two persons have been arrested over her death.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja.

He said that at the end of the investigation, “whatever information needs to go out will go out.”

Daramola said the officer would be buried Thursday, July 23, at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja, with full military honours, adding that it would continue to support female pilots’ training as 11 were currently undergoing training within and outside Nigeria.
