The immediate past governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, has reportedly died from covid-19 complications.
The death was announced by Investigative journalists, Fisayo Soyombo.
Ajimobi was said to have been in critical condition at a Lagos hospital where Abba Kyari, the chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari died of the same virus months ago.
However, his media aide Bolaji Tunji said the news of his death was fake.
“I spoke with those around him not long ago and they confirmed to me that he is still alive. Please disregard news of his death as fake news,” Tunji said .
