Senior Advocate of Nigeria dies of covid-19 in Port Harcourt

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Granville Abibo, has died of complications from coronavirus infection.

It was gathered that the senior lawyer fell ill on Friday and succumbed to the cold hands of death on Monday.

Governor Nyesom Wike described him as a very close friend, adding that nobody expected that to happen.

The Okrika native was until his death, the managing Solicitors of Granville Abibo (SAN) & Co, a law firm based in Port Harcourt.

Abibo who was called to the Bar on 27th July 1985 holds a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (formerly University of Ife) Nigeria, 1989.

He also specialized in Litigation and Appellate practice, Corporate and Commercial Practice, Arbitration and Criminal Law cases.

He was a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Nigeria since 1999 and was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on 26th August 2011 at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
