Hands off APC governorship primaries, Obaseki tells Oshiomhole

The Governor of Edo state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has called on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, not to interfere with the June 22 governorship primary in Edo state.

Obaseki disclosed this on Wednesday when he submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination form at the party national Secretariat in Abuja.

He said, “I’m calling on Oshiomhole to recuse himself from the Edo governorship process because he is an interested party.”

The governor also said he was ready for any mode of primary, whether direct or indirect, but insisted the Constitution of the party must be followed, ThisDay reports.
