Dakuku Peterside donates computers, textbooks to schools in S/South, S/East

In its desire to deliver on its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and strictly respond to the immediate and sustainable needs of the communities, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has donated relief materials worth millions of naira to some Rivers Communities affected by this year’s flood.

Some of the benefitting communities were drawn from Andoni, Opobo/Nkoro(Queenstown) and Tai Local Government Areas.

Some of the items presented by the NIMASA DG, Dr.Dakuku Adol Peterside, include 25 bags of local rice, 25 bags of foreign Rice, 30 Cartoons of Spaghetti, 150 tubers of Yam, 25 bags of Whites Garri and 15 bags of Yellowstone Garri.

Others are 20 bags of Semovita,15 bags of Beans,8 Cartons of Peak Milk,15 Bags of Sugar,30 cartons of Titus Sardine, 25bags of Salt, 20 Kegs of Vegetable Oil, 16 Kegs of Palm Oil, 70 Cartons of Indomie Noodle Superlative Package, 20pack of Adult Diapers, 80 mini pack of Children diapers, 80 diapers Mini pack of Children’s Diapers, 100 diapers always Sanitary etc.

Similarly, Peterside in his quest to support quality learnings and educational development in the society as a means to sustainable development also donated full packs of educational materials to some selected schools in South-South and South-East regions of Nigeria.

Over 140 different educational materials were given to the various benefitting Schools to aide learning among the Future Leaders of the Nigerian State.

Items presented include; Desktop Computer sets, Laptops, UPS, Digital White Boards, Digital Notice Boards, Textbooks for different subjects, Academic Excercise Works Books, Writing Materials of all kinds, Tables, School Bags, etc.

The benefiting schools include; Okrika Grammar School(OGS) OKRIKA; Community Secondary School (CSS), Ubima; Royal Court Academy, Rumuekini,pH; Community Secondary School, Opobo Town; Umuara Technical Secondary School, Obowo, Imo State; Modebe Secondary School, Onitsha, Anambra State and Junior Secondary School, Abayi,Abia State.
