Chinda laments frequent sack of political appointees by LGA chairmen

The Lawmaker representing Obio/Akpor Constituency 11 in the Rivers state house of assembly, Michael Chinda, has frowned at the incessant dissolution of appointed political office holders in some local government councils in Rivers State.

The lawmaker said that the manner at which Local Government Chairmen sack their political appointee has become a source of concern to some lawmakers in the state.

Hon Chinda who expressed worry that some of the appointees barely spent six months in office before they are sacked also called for restraints on the part of the chairmen

The lawmaker also advised the Council chairmen to take cognizance of the high unemployment rate and allow the appointees to serve out the full 3 years tenure of the council
